The length of time to complete treatment varies depending on the complexities of the difficulties you
are experiencing and the effort you put into your treatment.
During initial meetings, Dr. Cauthorne will work with you to develop an initial impression of your
difficulties and to offer a plan for addressing them. Given that Dr. Cauthorne is a certified EMDR Consultant, dependent on your issues, she may discuss with you the benefits of this additional approach to talk therapy. You
may elect to consider it or to reject this approach and rely instead on more traditional talk therapy.
If there are difficulties or other approaches which would benefit you, Dr. Cauthorne may offer a
referral to the appropriate clinician or organization.
